As a little girl, my family always called me Heidilein and so it was a natural fit to name my creations:
My love for sewing started when I was 10 years old. My mom bought me my first sewing machine – a little Singer “featherweight-“ which I still have and cherish. My big sister taught me to sew baby clothes at first and then clothes for myself. Since then, I have been sewing for friends and family, and with their encouragement and support, Heidiline was born. It is my desire to create beautiful and functional pieces with details that reflect unique, fun and flirty fashion with a little retro flare that will last you for years to come. I am inspired by classic vintage, mid-century modern, and tiki style, not to mention all those beautiful rockabilly women. I strive to reflect that vintage feel in my work. I use new and vintage fabrics and almost exclusively vintage buttons. My aprons are “one size fits most” or large for curvy girls.
All Heidiline aprons, bags and accessories are my original designs and are personally hand-sewn. Quality is a top priority: all stress points are reinforced for strength to ensure no ripping occurs and that threads will not come loose during normal washing and wearing.
Note about vintage products: Not always, but in many cases, “vintage” means “pre-loved”. I use vintage fabrics and buttons where possible, and some items may have slight “imperfections.” For example, a vintage button may have markings due to wear, and some vintage fabrics may have very slight imperfections that neither affect the quality nor the look of the item. Nevertheless, if the integrity of the product is still there, I will use it as it adds to the final product’s authenticity and charm. I do not view these as “imperfections” — I view them as added character.
I hope that you will love wearing your Heidiline fashions as much as I have loved creating and sewing them!
